- Pressed square Waler Plates are used together with formwork Tie Rods to protect the formwork system.Waler plates are usedfor Tie Rods in conjunction with a Wing Nut or a hexnut for load transfer. Theembossing of the plate increases the rigidity of the plate. Load capacity depends on the contract area, theadmissible bearing pressure and the threaded Tie Rod.
